Dear international Students,
The University would like to congratulate the 2022 graduating class in advance.However, students who are unable to graduate this year due to specific reasons should take note of the extension procedures below. Graduating students are to take note of the procedures as follows;
1.EXTENSION PROCEDURE :
The study period for all Undergraduate degree program is four years, Master's degree program 2-3 years, and three years for Doctoral degree programs. If the student fails to graduate within the duration of the study period, please go through the extension procedures before June 15, otherwise the student status will be automatically cancelled.However, the maximum extension duration for Undergraduate study is six years, Master's is five years and eight years for Doctoral programs.
2.SCHOOL LEAVING PROCEDURE: All graduating students are required to submit their graduation and “School Leaving” form before they can receive their certificates.
3.ISSUANCE OF GRADUATION CERTIFICATES: The University will process student’s degree certificates on time in accordance with SMU’s graduation requirements. Additionally, students who are unable to receive their certificates physically due to the pandemic situation would received them by express mail. Please fill in the postal form of the graduation certificate and degree certificate information.
4.CHECK-OUT PROCEDURES: On campus graduates should go through check-out procedure before July 5. Please let us know if students have any difficulties.students who are not in China should entrust students at school to help you pack your luggage. Please see the attachment for the power of attorney.
