On June 9, the 5th Shanghai International Students Dragon Boat Racing Competition was held at the East China University of Science and Technology. 21 international student teams from various universities of Shanghai took part in the competition. Finally the international students from SMU won the champion.
The SMU team had undertaken tough training for nearly one month before the competition. Its members all made strenuous efforts and got the first place both in the preliminary contest and the finals. This is also the best score ever achieved by SMU.
Since the beginning of the Shanghai International Students Dragon Boat Racing Competition in the year 2008, thousands of international students have joined the competition. This competition, as the largest group activity for international students among Shanghai universities, received warm welcome and loved by those students.
