On June 17th, the 2nd SMU international students summer school was successfully held. Yang Wanfeng, Vice President of SMU, Shi Chaojian, the Dean of International Education College, Yu Hongrong, Director of International Office, representative teachers from Plymouth and Saint Martin's University, lecture teachers of SMU and 49 international students attended the opening ceremony.
Yang Wanfeng, Vice President of SMU delivered the welcome speech. He mentioned that SMU had a long history of cooperation with Plymouth and Saint Martin's University, and had made fruitful achievements. And it is the first time for students from Saint Martin's University, which means the further cooperation between these two universities. Prof. Yang expected the international students to learn more about the Chinese culture and society from the summer school learning.
The representative teachers from Plymouth and Saint Martin's University expressed thanks for the elaborate preparations and arrangements, and looked forward to the one month stay in SMU. At last, Miss Mao from International Education College introduced orientation for the students.
