The 1st training program on Cruise Management opened on Dec.21. Prof. JIN Yongxing, the Chairman of the university council, Dr. Ruan Wei, the Dean of International Education College, Prof. LIU Bin, the Dean of Economic & Management College (Asian Cruise Academy), Ms. YU Hongrong, Director of International Office, and teacher representatives attended the opening ceremony.
Prof. Jin made a welcome speech, and gave a brief introduction about the school history , development statues, and academic success, especially the academic communication and education activities of Cruise Management since the Asian Cruise Academy established, ”Cruise industry shows vigorous at present .Our school has advantages on cruise management. We are willing to provide related training for the development of cruise management industry with Korea and other neighboring countries.” He said.
Dr. Ruan Wei, the Dean of International Education College, Prof. LIU Bin, the Dean of Economic & Management College (Asian Cruise Academy), separately introduced the background of the project and the curricula’s arranging situation. The “Cruise Management” training program will last one month, and was jointly hosted by International Education College and Economic & Management College (Asian Cruise Academy). It attracted 20 international students from Korea Gangwon Provincial College. Except for the lecture about cruise English, tourism English and cruise management, the students would also have field visit to cruise ports, etc.
