From Mar.22th to Mar.30th in 2019, Chinese calligraphy competition(ball pen) for international students was held. This competition, divided into junior section and intermediate section, attracted over 50 students to participate. Students were required to copy the works of Chinese poems, which was a great challenge for them, because not only did they need to figure out the stroke order, but also they had to understand the poets’ thinking at that time and the feelings behind the words. As an old saying goes, “To see a world in a single word; and a soul in a stroke.” In other words, the one who writes well is patient and peaceful, because at all times, people believe that one's handwriting style resembles that of his innate qualities.
ONDJAA ABENG ABE CHRISTIAN JOHAN、LIAO LUO JULISSA CRISTINA were awarded the first prize. SERGIO SAMMARCHI and other four students won the second prize. BORNAAH JENNIFER ANOMA and other six students achieved the third prize.
Through this competition, international students further understood the broad and profound Chinese culture.
