1. Off-campus internship requirements:
Off-campus internships are off-campus teaching practice activities, which are relevant to the study plans of international students and do not offer any salary (with the exception of food and transport subsidies).
1.1. Students should hold X1 Visa with internship remarks insured by the Entry and Exit Administration Bureau of Shanghai Public Security Bureau .
1.2. Students are not allowed to do internships in more than one company.
1.3. Internship contents should be relevant to the student’s study plan.
2. The procedure of internships:
2.1 Students shall apply to the International Student Office with their study plan and professional internship plan;
2.2 After being approved by the International Student Office, students will receive a Guidance Form for International Student Internship Company;
2.3 After the company stamps the form, students are required to submit it to the International Student Office;
2.4 The International Student Office will submit the Guidance Form for International Student Internship Company and other required documents to the Entry and Exit Administration Bureau of Shanghai Public Security Bureau;
2.5 After being approved by the Entry and Exit Administration Bureau of Shanghai Public Security Bureau (usually takes 7 days), the International Student Office will provide students with an application letter and internship certificate;
2.6 Students can go through relevant formalities with their application letter and internship certificate at theExit-Entry Administration Bureau of Shanghai Public Security Bureau.After completing the formalities, students can begin their internship.
3. Cost:
3.1 Students who apply for internship remarks when processing a residence permit will not be charged any extra fees.
3.2 Students who have an X1 visa and will also apply for internship remarks will be charged 200 yuan each time.
4. Remarks:
4.1 If students change university, they must go through the internship procedure once more.
4.2 If a student’s passport or residence permit has been renewed, replaced or extended they must go through the internship procedure once more. Otherwise the internship will be considered as terminated.
4.3 Students who have not gone through the required formalities or whose internship time and workplace differ from the time and company shown on the certificate, their internship will be considered as illegal employment and will be punished in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations governing international students.
