Dear Chinese Government Scholarship Students，
In accordance with the relevant regulations on the management of Chinese Government Scholarship, Chinese Government Scholarship students shall go through a comprehensive review to determine whether they are qualified to continue enjoying the scholarship.
1.Eligible Applicants
a.CSC students who continue to study in SMU in the next academic year.
b.CSC doctoral students who should graduate in July 2023 as planned, but will apply for study extension and meet the extension requirements.
c.CSC students who were ranked as “Unqualified” in the last annual review and whose scholarship has been suspended.
*Those who have been in the suspension of schooling may not participate in the review.
2.Review Details
The annual review will be conducted based on the moral behaviour, academic performance, learning or research attitude and extracurricular performances.The evaluation opinions are divided into two types: qualified and unqualified. Those with a total score of 60 or above will be regarded as qualified. For those students who are not qualified for Chinese government scholarships, the State Scholarship Council will suspend or cancel their scholarships.
3.Review Procedures
a.April 24th to May 10th./Self-evaluation.
Chinese government scholarship students, before 17: 00 (Beijing time) on May 10, 2023, log in the information system：https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn with CSC number and enter the annual self-evaluation of scholarship. Fill in the Chinese government scholarship evaluation questionnaire, complete the self-evaluation information and upload additional materials, and then click submit button.
Note: If the password is forgotten, student can retrieve the password from the mailbox which is bound to the CSC ID account. If the students cannot retrieve the password, send an email to us at yqzheng@shmtu.edu.cn
b.May 11th to May 20th/Supervisor and counselor review
After receiving the email containing the login link, temporary user name and password, supervisors or counselors will make quantitative scoring and qualitative evaluation based on the students' performance in the past year or semester before 17:00 on May 20th, 2023.
c.May 21th to May 31th/Review by School
SMU Scholarship Committee will conduct the review based on students' self-evaluation and the review of supervisors and counselors, and then report the annual review report to CSC before May 31th, 2023.
d.Before July 31th/Release the review results
International Education College (International Students Office) will release the review results before July 31.
